Our Ferry-Boat service is the perfect alternative for those who want to reduce travel time between the Island and Baixada Maranhense or the Northern region of Brazil.
The crossing of approximately 20 kilometers takes just over 1 hour, eliminating the need to drive 350 km, which would take an average of 6 hours to cover.
Besides being a perfect shortcut between the colonial atmosphere of the capital and the adventures and experiences of Baixada, this 20-kilometer journey in 1 hour also provides a majestic view of São Marcos Bay and the small islands of the Maranhão coast.
For 10 years, we have been transporting people, light vehicles, buses, trucks, and goods between the Passenger Terminals of Ponta da Espera, in São Luís, and Cujupe, in the municipality of Alcântara, in the Maranhão Gulf, serving almost 2 million people per year and benefiting about 35 municipalities and 2.5 million inhabitants who live in these locations.
